- Ruth SDe Wildt Adventure Trails is situated along the slopes of the Magaliesberg mountain range. They offer a 6, 9, 12 and 18km trail. There is also a picnic spot with toilets and showers about 500m from the car park. I hiked the 18km trail. It was extremely well sign posted and offers views from both sides of the Magaliesberg. A challenging trail! The staff were professional and booking via WhatsApp was easy.
- Brendon FFor a hike that on a clear day offers a breathtaking view of Harties and surrounds, vultures soaring so close it feels you can almost touch them, steeped in history that is still visible today. There are a few well marked trails to choose from at varied distances, its recommended an early start, good hiking shoes and plenty of water is key and be prepared for a steep uphill that depending on your fitness level could be challenging, there are guided tours by the owner which are highly recommended and very informative, complete your experience with an well deserved ice cold drink and some really good food at the picnic area.
PhindileLoved this hike! Challenging and very exciting, the scenery is just awesome! The main challenge is getting to the top (about 3 or so kms), and once you're there it becomes easier. It's a very rocky trail, but has clear signage. The picnic area is well maintained, clean and kid friendly. The staff of very friendly and helpful, you need to first book. They take cards, which is very convenient during the pandemic.
